Arbitrator-Shmarbitrator

“It seems to me to be just an embattled union leader trying to rally his troops,” MTA spokesman Tim O’Brien said.
In a column by Toussaint that appears in this month’s union newsletter, he lashed out at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Gov. Pataki, and the arbitration process imposed by the state’s Public Employment Relations Board.
“There will be no binding-arbitration decision jammed down our throats,” he said, even before the three-member panel has had a chance to meet.
