A spring break short trip to DC. Got up early to get a jump on things and was already into New Jersey before 6 a.m.:
National Museum of Natural History, mostly to use the bathroom after the long journey, but also to see the Hope Diamond:

Spy Museum — this is an inflatable tank designed to fool spy satellites:
New architecture = picturesque stairwells? The Spy Museum followed by the National Museum of African American History & Culture:
A walk to the Jefferson Memorial, thinking there might be cherry blossoms still (there weren’t):

National Mall, 6:18 a.m., right before a morning run — the whole loop from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and back to wherever you began is a little under five miles:
Lunch and a quick tour through the National Museum of the American Indian before getting stuck in hours of traffic on the way back home:
