Best. Valentine’s Day. Ever.
A “handful” of Staten Island couples took up White Castle on its special Valentine’s Day offer. The Advance reports on how it went:

“We’ve got candlelight, tablecloths, waiter service — what else could you ask for?” said Bob Williams of Annadale, who was enjoying the event with his fiancee, Ginny McLoughlin of Eltingville, at the White Castle on Hylan Boulevard in Grant City.
“He told me we were going to be in a castle someday, my little king,” Ms. McLoughlin said. “I’m just glad he proposed to me in Paris and not at White Castle,” she said.
The waiter for the evening, Patrick Ustick of Dongan Hills, had to get used to doing things differently yesterday, delivering food to tables instead of sliding it across the counter — and getting tips.
“We thought it would be a great laugh, and cheap, too,” said Brian Peters of Long Island, who brought his girl friend, Christine Kaufmann, a Wagner College student also from Long Island.
Dinner for two averaged between $15 and $20, including free refills on soda and coffee.
